Not all contacts are created equal
A VP of Marketing and a VP of Engineering might both be senior — but only one is your buyer. Contactwho's AI ranking ensures you always start with the person who matters most.
How ranking works
When you enter a company and describe what you sell, our AI:
- Maps the company structure — Identifies departments, reporting lines, and functional areas.
- Matches against your product — Determines which roles and departments would own the buying decision for what you sell.
- Scores and classifies — Each contact gets a match percentage and a classification:
- Decision Maker — The person who can approve the purchase
- Influencer — Someone who shapes the decision or has relevant technical authority
- Secondary — A useful contact who can open doors or provide information
Why clear reasoning matters
Every ranked contact comes with a plain-English explanation: "Head of Risk — Owns fraud prevention strategy and vendor evaluation."
This isn't a black box. Your team can read the reasoning, validate it against their own knowledge, and decide how to approach each contact with confidence.
The difference
| Traditional tools | Contactwho |
|---|---|
| Filter by job title and hope | AI matches based on what you sell |
| No context for why someone is relevant | Clear reasoning for every contact |
| Same results for every query | Personalized to your product |
| Manual prioritization | Automatic scoring and classification |
Works for any product
Whether you sell cybersecurity software, consulting services, or office supplies — the AI adapts its ranking based on your description. The same company can produce completely different ranked contacts depending on what you're selling.
